What a wacky year 2020 is turning out to be yes? When I was first invited to join the annual Raspberry Creek Fabrics Suit up for Summer Blog Tour hosted by SewSophieLynn and Paisley Roots, I of course had no idea that there would be a chance we may not actually GET to wear our swimsuits this year, but one can always HOPE! I don't know about you, but my emotions have been all over the place. Last week all I could see was a downward spiral of gloom, but this week I have a bit more hope. So, here's to a summer of sprinklers, water tables, and HOPEFULLY swimming pools too!
As part of the Raspberry Creek Fabrics Blog Tour, I shared the Boo! Designs Swimmers Rash Guard with a side stripe running along the sleeve and side. I thought I'd write a separate post with instructions on how I did it!
For the last few months, Simple Life Pattern Company have been testing their new collection and TODAY is the day it releases! I tested the Ella dress - a knit dress/tunic with an open back and option for an asymmetrical circle skirt and my daughter just adores it!
A friend recently introduced me to Threadsmitten, a small online business based local to me in Fairfax, Virginia specializing in European fabrics, notions, and non-Euro indie paper sewing patterns. The owner, Rachel, sent me some of her fabrics to try out and share - and I am just so in love with them!
I’m so excited that my kids are starting to read the Harry Potter books! While I have the series in a combo of paperback and hardcover - and some British, some Australian, and some US editions - we’ve been borrowing the e-audiobooks from the library and listening to them instead. And of course, one of the best outcomes from getting my kids into HP, is that my daughter picked out this HP inspired fabric from the current pre-order round at MK*Designs!
It's January, which means it's definitely time I made more use of my gym membership! But in the meantime, instead of making more workout outfits for me, I made them for my daughter instead.
Just in time for Christmas, Duchess and Hare have released two new holiday dress patterns! I sewed up the new Duchess & Hare Everything Nice Dress for both my girls, and they do look so adorable in them!
