Peony Patterns Daisy Dress + Iris Embroidery

I'm back with another lovely dress from Peony Patterns! The Daisy Dress was included in Peony Patterns' first collection earlier this year, but I never had a chance to sew it up. Since I wanted to try another variation of the Iris hand embroidery, this was a great motivation to get Daisy made! About the… Continue reading Peony Patterns Daisy Dress + Iris Embroidery

Ivy & Marigold + Aboriginal Art

In my last post, I shared how I took a trip to Artistic Artifacts to get some Tilda fabric. I should probably amend that to say I actually first decided to go because I realized they had Australian Aboriginal fabric *and then* realized they had Tilda too! Knowing that I was about to sew up… Continue reading Ivy & Marigold + Aboriginal Art

Phee Fabrics Swim Week: LLK Monaco

Hurray for summer and swimsuit making! Last week, Phee Fabrics sent me a surprise 1/2 yard of their Swim Tricot Knit to sew up and promote during their Swim Week. I was *VERY* surprised to receive NEON YELLOW! It's totally not a color I would have selected on my own, but it's very very fabulous… Continue reading Phee Fabrics Swim Week: LLK Monaco

Testing this dress was super fun and I was SO inspired by the incredible talent… Continue reading Peony Patterns – Poppy Dress & Briar Embroidery {Release}

What are little girls made of, made of? What are little girls made of? Sugar and spice and everything nice; That's what little girls are made of. - Robert Southey, circa 1820 I tested the Everything Nice Dress by Duchess and Hare late last year, and in doing so made a fit muslin. I have… Continue reading Duchess & Hare Everything Nice Revisited

Simple Life Pattern Company Camilla Top/Dress Release

Yay for new pattern releases! For the last couple of weeks, I’ve been testing the Camilla top and dress from Simple Life Pattern Company. Camilla is adorable, and even though my 8 year old declared that hers made her look like a giant napkin (some of our table linens are in the same fabric, and my 4 year old Slytherin has intentionally been wiping her hands on her dress just to mess with her), she has actually been choosing to wear it! Phew!
