End of Summer Swimsuits {for Fabric Mart}

It’s been a CRAZY spring and summer but I’m finally BACK and getting back on track with our homeschool for the new year and sewing in my spare time! First up, we moved house, spent two weeks in it, then flipped back to winter by visiting my family in Australia. We had some Aussie friends house sit while we were away (so I had pushed myself to get the house in some sort of working order before we left), and once we got back we had a few extra days with them before THEY went back to Australia! The rest of the summer has just flown, between spending days at the pool, finding a tenant for our old house, and getting my sewing and school rooms in some semblance of order!

My major sewing project for this summer (besides getting my sewing room set up again) was a collection of swimsuits with fabric from Fabric Mart. They had the motherload of swim from Beach Riot this year, so I stocked up, buying as much as I could with my $50 budget to create swimsuits for me and each of my kids! I still have large scraps, so my plan is to make some extra mix n match suits for the everyone in the weeks to come.

Here’s a summary of the patterns I used in this collection:

  • Jalie Gerald shorts
  • Jalie Claudia bikini
  • Jalie Racerback swimsuit
  • Jalie Nico raglan
  • Jalie Valerie rashguard
  • Boo! Designs Twin Swim
