Peony Patterns Calendula – It’s Bluey!

One of the benefits of being an Aussie expat and still having family within driving distance of Spotlight, is being able to get your hands on the elusive Bluey fabric! My sister managed to pick up a couple of metres for me a few months back and sent it to me in a care package! Miss 6 was delighted and asked for Bluey Pajamas! I still have enough for that, but decided we’d start with a new dress first!

Calendula is the newest pattern from Peony Patterns and is a great way to use up your knit stash! The bodice has some curves in it, but overall, it’s very easy to make and the effect with the circle skirt, circle back cut out, and circle sleeves is just a total win! I wrote more about this dress earlier in the week, so if you missed that and want to learn more about Calendula, then check out my earlier post.

The Bluey fabric is a cotton Lycra, and I used a Kona cotton woven for the tie. You can use either a knit or woven for the tie – I opted for woven because it was the only thing I had laying around that was the right color!

Calendula is on sale until Monday, July 18! Happy sewing!
