Floral Dresses & Swimsuits {for FabricMart}

I'm excited to be doing another year as a Fabricista for FabricMart! Every quarter, FabricMart gives me $50 to spend in their store and then I sew it all up and share it on their blog! This month I was drawn to these two floral prints in their shop - a woven border print, and… Continue reading Floral Dresses & Swimsuits {for FabricMart}

Phee Fabrics Swim Week: LLK Monaco

Hurray for summer and swimsuit making! Last week, Phee Fabrics sent me a surprise 1/2 yard of their Swim Tricot Knit to sew up and promote during their Swim Week. I was *VERY* surprised to receive NEON YELLOW! It's totally not a color I would have selected on my own, but it's very very fabulous… Continue reading Phee Fabrics Swim Week: LLK Monaco

Suit up for Summer with Raspberry Creek Fabrics

What a wacky year 2020 is turning out to be yes? When I was first invited to join the annual Raspberry Creek Fabrics Suit up for Summer Blog Tour hosted by SewSophieLynn and Paisley Roots, I of course had no idea that there would be a chance we may not actually GET to wear our swimsuits this year, but one can always HOPE! I don't know about you, but my emotions have been all over the place. Last week all I could see was a downward spiral of gloom, but this week I have a bit more hope. So, here's to a summer of sprinklers, water tables, and HOPEFULLY swimming pools too!

Jalie Diane Swimsuit – Whimsy Hack

The owner of Whimsy Baby Customs recently asked me to make her a swimsuit. Making swimsuits for others still makes me really nervous, so I decided I would make the style she wanted for my daughter first before tackling the adult suit.

I already had the Jalie Diane in my collection and thought that would work well for the design she was looking for.

A Flounce for Boo! Designs Swimmers!

Two trends I'm seeing in swimsuits lately are flounces and high waisted bottoms. Miss 6 recently declared she HAD to have a bikini. (Cue Daddy's immediate "NO!" haha). I decided that if I made her a bikini, I'd make it fairly modest, so enter: flounces and high waisted bottoms! *Affiliate links included in this post… Continue reading A Flounce for Boo! MerKitty Baby Swimmers!

Now for some cuteness for the baby! Ok, fine, "the toddler." She's still my baby though 🙂 🙂 🙂 (Contains affiliate links) With my leftover MK*Designs Glam Merkitties and Glam Scales, I wanted to make a rashguard and bottoms for my littlest. She just adores modeling them! Actually, she's fun to photograph because she just… Continue reading MerKitty Baby Swimmers!
