I'm excited to be doing another year as a Fabricista for FabricMart! Every quarter, FabricMart gives me $50 to spend in their store and then I sew it all up and share it on their blog! This month I was drawn to these two floral prints in their shop - a woven border print, and… Continue reading Floral Dresses & Swimsuits {for FabricMart}

Retro Owls for MK*Designs
When you have an owl obsessed child it stands to reason that when you see owl fabric, you have to have it. My youngest was over the moon with the dress I made her, and my eldest was happy to coordinate! MK*Designs sent me a fat half of both Retro Owl Toss and the coordinating… Continue reading Retro Owls for MK*Designs
Girls’ Bishop Sleeve Dress & Cardigan
Late last year my neighbor was getting rid of some fabric, and my eyes landed on some gorgeous floral scuba, gray double brushed poly, and a purple sweater knit. I thought this combo would be perfect as a dress and cardigan for my two girls!
Suit up for Summer with Raspberry Creek Fabrics
What a wacky year 2020 is turning out to be yes? When I was first invited to join the annual Raspberry Creek Fabrics Suit up for Summer Blog Tour hosted by SewSophieLynn and Paisley Roots, I of course had no idea that there would be a chance we may not actually GET to wear our swimsuits this year, but one can always HOPE! I don't know about you, but my emotions have been all over the place. Last week all I could see was a downward spiral of gloom, but this week I have a bit more hope. So, here's to a summer of sprinklers, water tables, and HOPEFULLY swimming pools too!
How to Add a Side Stripe to a Rashguard
As part of the Raspberry Creek Fabrics Blog Tour, I shared the Boo! Designs Swimmers Rash Guard with a side stripe running along the sleeve and side. I thought I'd write a separate post with instructions on how I did it!
Boo! Designs Dynamite Athleticwear
It's January, which means it's definitely time I made more use of my gym membership! But in the meantime, instead of making more workout outfits for me, I made them for my daughter instead.
Misusu Dia Tunic & Boo! Leggings
As I mentioned in my last post, my 3 year old is Owl obsessed. She is constantly hooting, flapping, requesting to watch videos on owl pellets, demands owl books when we visit the library each week, and has been gradually amassing a collection of cute, stuffed owls. She was over the moon when I showed… Continue reading Misusu Dia Tunic & Boo! Leggings
Boo! Designs Dynamite Activewear
I've been on a legging kick lately! Naturally, I fully intended to make leggings for me... but when it comes to doing strike-off sews... well my kids always win out! I think I need some leggings in this Stitch print though - but just as an accent - I'm not quite brave enough to go to the gym with Stitch all over me, LOL. Read more...
Suit up for Summer with Raspberry Creek Fabrics
It's time to sew some swimsuits! I sewed up some patterns from Boo! Designs in the new Raspberry Creek Fabrics Swim Collection. Never sewn swim? I've included a couple of tips, just for you!
A Flounce for Boo! Designs Swimmers!
Two trends I'm seeing in swimsuits lately are flounces and high waisted bottoms. Miss 6 recently declared she HAD to have a bikini. (Cue Daddy's immediate "NO!" haha). I decided that if I made her a bikini, I'd make it fairly modest, so enter: flounces and high waisted bottoms! *Affiliate links included in this post… Continue reading A Flounce for Boo!
