Made another Oliver+S icecream blouse, this time as a birthday present for one of my daughter’s little friends :). These are so easy to whip up, don’t use much fabric, and make a great gift, in my opinion!

Material Notes

cotton -hello kitty (fabric.com / joann) – I bought this online without seeing it in person first. The quality isn’t very good and feels fairly rough to the touch, unfortunately.

cotton – pink (Joann) – this was leftover from the ruffle curtains that I made for my daughter’s room. The pink isn’t quite the right color, but I was on a spending freeze, so shopping from my stash! (it’s not quite as peach as the picture makes it out to be. boo-hiss to night time photography!)

  1. Gorgeous and soo cute. This top would be a great foil for pattern clashing/matching too! I could imagine a sweet stripe on that yoke, perhaps with chevrons or something. Totally get that you wouldn’t want to spend that much time on a gift 😉 Lace? Something ‘heirloom’, ooooh get’s one thinking… I have a niece in England who might like this!

    1. Oh there a so many ways to go with this top! I haven’t made one in years now, but I totally need to bust this pattern back out and see how it goes with knit – I think it could be really cute, and depending on the knit, you could also omit the back closure. (I am slowly but surely copying over all my posts from my old blog, hence why this appeared today 😉 ).

Oliver + S actually are having their annual 50% off sale right now, so now is a good time to jump on this pattern! (The coupon code is on their FB page – maybe their blog too).
