A friend recently introduced me to Threadsmitten, a small online business based local to me in Fairfax, Virginia specializing in European fabrics, notions, and non-Euro indie paper sewing patterns. The owner, Rachel, sent me some of her fabrics to try out and share - and I am just so in love with them!
I’m so excited that my kids are starting to read the Harry Potter books! While I have the series in a combo of paperback and hardcover - and some British, some Australian, and some US editions - we’ve been borrowing the e-audiobooks from the library and listening to them instead. And of course, one of the best outcomes from getting my kids into HP, is that my daughter picked out this HP inspired fabric from the current pre-order round at MK*Designs!
It's January, which means it's definitely time I made more use of my gym membership! But in the meantime, instead of making more workout outfits for me, I made them for my daughter instead.
Merry Christmas! It's been a little quiet here on the blogging front - but with Christmas sewing out of the way, I hope to get back into the swing of things again very soon! I wanted to quickly share an excellent deal on one of my favorite designers! This is the ONE DAY in the year you'll be able to score Boo! Designs patterns for 40% off!! If you plan to make outfits for girls or swimsuits for your kids this summer, this is the pattern company to stock up on!
Just in time for Christmas, Duchess and Hare have released two new holiday dress patterns! I sewed up the new Duchess & Hare Everything Nice Dress for both my girls, and they do look so adorable in them!

After testing the new Cape Cod Capelet from Itch to Stitch, I knew I needed to have a coordinating top to go underneath it for my pictures. I'd been hoarding both the sweater knit and the rayon lycra ever since scoring it from Mily Mae Fabrics last year (I won a gift card to their… Continue reading Pattern Emporium Hello Gorgeous Puff Sleeve Tee

As I mentioned in my last post, my 3 year old is Owl obsessed. She is constantly hooting, flapping, requesting to watch videos on owl pellets, demands owl books when we visit the library each week, and has been gradually amassing a collection of cute, stuffed owls. She was over the moon when I showed… Continue reading Misusu Dia Tunic & Boo! Leggings
