Jalie Faux Jumpsuit + Minerva Viscose

Hi sewing friends! A few months ago I signed up to receive Minerva’s newest exclusive product, their custom designed Viscose Challis line! They had so many gorgeous new prints, it was hard to pick, but I settled on this bold floral design for my first selection! Normally my kids get all my nice fabrics, but I decided that THIS one would be for me, and the next one will be for my eldest.

I just LOVE how this outfit came together! I had initially planned to make a dress, but then I decided separates would be more useful since I could mix and match, or wear together. I had also planned to make a skirt, but then I discovered the Genevieve Culottes add-on and so pivoted my plan once more! These swishy pants are SO comfy to wear and so easy to make as well! I’ll definitely be making more! The pant version also comes with an optional wide waistband with the paperbag effect, so I opted for that in this outfit too.

I had 2.5 meters of fabric and *JUST* managed to squeeze this out of it, with the exception of the partial lining in the top, which I cut from black lining instead.
