Mommy & Me for Fabric Mart

I’m back on the Fabric Mart blog today with a couple of outfits for me and my girls, all using some pretty Italian designer crepe! I ventured out of my pattern comfort zone too, and finally tried my hand at a True/Bias pattern! I used the Roscoe Dress for me, and since I had so much fabric leftover, made Peony Patterns Hyacinth Dress for my girls, and a pair of linen shorts using the Jennuine Design Limone Lounge Set pattern. Fabric Mart gave me a budget of $50, so that covered the fabric and Roscoe paper pattern (I had the other two patterns in my stash already).

I’m Natasha (Nat) and I’m an Australian girl who grew up in Hobart, Tasmania and moved to Northern Virginia, USA in 2005. When I was a kid, my grandmother taught me how to hand embroider, and later, between seventh grade home ec. lessons, my mother, and a lot of trial and error, I learned to machine sew too.
