Mother’s Day is coming right up (May 10th!), and Etsy is the perfect place to go for looking for unique gifts, right from the comfort of your quarantined home! ❤
Here's a roundup of some of my favorite places to shop on Esty for the sewing lover!
Fabric from Threadsmitten
First up, fabric from Threadsmitten! These gorgeous See You at Six French Terry’s are just a small glimpse of their beautiful collection! Perfect for sweatshirts, cozy dresses, leggings, and tops. I used some of this French Terry to make joggers for my son earlier in the year. Follow Threadsmitten on Facebook to get sale alerts too!
Trims galore!! These grab bags of lingerie elastic are perfect for sewing up all the underwear! The seller, LaceandTrims carry lots of other trims too, including foldover elastic, ribbon, lace, drawstring, bra parts, etc.
The secret of cool photography backgrounds? Vinyl prints! SwankyPrints is based in the USA and design and manufacture their own backgrounds. A great American small business to support! This brown textured background is just one of literally thousands of options they have in their shop!
MW Patterns have some of the most unique jacket patterns out there. I’ve made them for my kids and STILL haven’t made one for me. This needs to change! The women’s version of the MW Biker Pattern is on my to-sew list and I recommend it for yours too!
I’ve been so happy with my labels from Labelicious! Their store was so easy to work with when I first designed my labels, and the price is very reasonable. Choose a custom label in various sizes or use one of their pre-printed labels.
18″ Doll Dress Patterns
If you love to sew doll clothing, the Sofie’s Pleasant Day Sundress is just adorable, and a great option for emulating the Blair American Girl Doll.
DIY Espadrilles Shoe Making Kit
I’ve been following A Happy Stitch for a while, and almost went to her Washington DC Workshop last year! DIY Shoe Making is definitely something you could tackle during quarantine – check out her Espadrilles Shoe Making Kits – she has lots of different fabrics to choose from too!
With summer on its way, now is the perfect time to try your hand at swimsuit making – and Boo! Designs is a great place to go for that! The instructions hold your hand as you delve into the world of mastering swim fabric – and starting with kids suits is a great way to get your feet wet. The Twin Swim pattern was released late last year and is on my to-sew list for this summer!
I hope this list gives you some ideas for treating yourself or someone you love for Mothers Day this year!
