I’ve been busy this week trying to use up all the yardage I received from MK*Designs! The yoga knit I was sent has certainly proven to be very versatile – with some of the leftovers from my daughter’s workout outfit, I was able to whip up a pair of paints and accents on a t-shirt for my son, and a dress for my youngest daughter. It’s fun to have them matchy matchy ;-).
These are all staple patterns in my collection – ones that I’ve made before and get plenty of loving from my kiddos!

Pearlie by Peach Patterns
The Pearlie from Peach Patterns features a high-low hem in two different lengths (dress and peplum), and can be purchased with a separate long sleeved add-on pack. Even though we are going into winter, I opted for a short sleeved top because my kids tend to wear short sleeves year round and pair with a sweater/jacket for outside. The Pearlie is a very quick sew and the shirt tail style hem is actually very easy to do thanks to sewing the side seams with a gap at the bottom to allow for folding up the hem. It’s available in size 1-12, and there’s a separate women’s pattern too.
Halla Patterns Lounge Pants & Stardust Top
Halla Lounge pants and Stardust top get big workouts in our house! It had been a while since I’d made the lounge pants but I do need to make more because my son really loves to wear them and they fit him well.
The pants come with patch or hidden pockets and can be sized into multiple lengths – pedal pusher, short, long; with or without cuffs.
Making these pants in the yoga knit hopefully means they will stand up better to kid wear and tear, and will be a little warmer in the cooler months.
I made the top with cotton lycra from Simply By Ti and accented it with the Sketchy Sidekicks Yoga Knit. I think I should have sized up for the bands on this one though as it bunches a bit at the neckline.
Both Halla patterns come in size NB – 14, in a layered PDF.
