This week, Itch to Stitch Patterns is doing a little promotion called, “ITS Summer Classics” – get it? ;-). If you’ve made something summery from Itch to Stitch, go ahead and share it on Social Media with the hashtag #ITSSummerClassics to join in the fun!
I haven’t sewn up any Itch to Stitch in a little while, but here’s a roundup of some of my summer appropriate makes! (Aside: I need to get more of the free Lago’s made, because they are such a quick and easy one for wearing at the gym!)
Itch to Stitch Lago – FREE tank top! Blogged over here
Itch to Stitch is one of my favorite designers for womenswear. All the patterns are professionally drafted (the designer, Kennis, was trained in Hong Kong), and many of the bodices come with individual cup sizes which makes fitting non-standard body types a breeze!
Even in summer, I live in cardigans. It might be humid and horrible outside, but inside we have an arctic A/C. You too? This is the cropped Lisbon cardigan – a year round staple! Blogged here
The Itch to Stitch Dana Point top is perfect when you need something sleeveless but still a little bit put together! *Once you’ve got all the pleats sewn*, it’s a quick sew! But the pleats…. they take a while! Blogged here
The Nottingham is one I live in! Perfect in rayon spandex, it’s a great year round top with both long and short sleeve options. Blogged here
Itch to Stitch Anza Dress & Jumpsuit is another of my summer staples (the denim one is year round with leggings and a cardigan!). Blogged here.
I need to do a bit more work on this one because I messed up my size… but the Itch to Stitch Chai is another gorgeous ITS dress (or shirt!) for summer or year round! I plan to make my next one from olive Tencel. Blogged here.
One of Itch to Stitch’s newer patterns, the Kauai is a nice sleeveless top for warm days. Perfect for stash busting short lengths of drapey wovens. Blogged here.
The Itch to Stitch Kathryn Top (& Dress) and Emily Culottes are also a great staple that can be worn most of the year (here in DC at least!). Lengthen the culottes and you’ve got a great pair of wide leg pants! Lengthen the top and you have a fabulous dress! I really love the pleating on this top – it’s a fast sew but the pleats give it that extra something! Blogged here.
Finally, the Cartagena Cami is a staple for summer but a perfect layer year round too! It’s also a great scrap buster! Blogged here
