For Father’s Day, I decided to surprise my hubby with matching Star Wars inspired t-shirts for he and our two older kids. One of my Ottobre mags has a matching mens and kids t-shirt pattern, so I used that. It has a regular front and raglan back. I made a muslin with black cotton lycra in my husband’s size, but found it a little tight in the biceps, so I ended up upsizing the one I did with the final fabric.
Since I didn’t have much fabric left (I only bought a fat half when it came out in retail), I just did the sleeves for my kids’ shirts. Of course, I waited until after church to take a photo, and by then, donuts had been consumed and smeared all over Mr. 2’s shirt. Ugh!! Hopefully later this week I’ll snap some new pics of the kids!
Overall the verdict was a good one from my husband. I think he was mostly thrilled that I had sewn something for him. And he enjoyed quoting Star Wars all day (e.g., he took a pic of the kids and captioned it with “these are not the droids you’re looking for” haha).
