Oliver+S Seashore Dresses

26956011780_e1460721a6_bSo I’m a little obsessed with this fabric. This was actually my first project with it, and the scraps I used for making the Clover Shorts that I posted earlier today. I’m that mom who wants to make all the matchy-matchy clothes for her kiddos haha. They can kill me later, but for now I will bask in the cuteness of it.

I have made the Oliver+S Seashore Dress a lot, and have found that it runs narrow/very fitted. Because of this, I decided to make the 12-18m size for my 3 month old, and because I don’t want to buy the next series of sizes in this pattern, a lengthened size 4T with 1/4″ seam allowances in the side seams. Thankfully it was a perfect fit for the 5 year old, and my 3M old has lots of growing room in hers!

I’d be interested in making this dress up in cotton lycra in the future. It would certainly help with the tightness of it.

Looking forward to lots of matchy summer days in the next few months!
